James recently graduated from Newcastle University with a First-Class Honours MEng in Mechanical Engineering with Energy Systems.
HEREFORDSHIRE UPDATE
Now that we’ve completed Heat Decarbonisation Plans for 14 of their buildings, Herefordshire Council have asked d3a to take forward detailed designs for the proposed works at Widemarsh and South Meadow Children’s Centres.

Having welcomed 2 new faces to our Architectural team over the last few weeks, it’s now the turn of our Energy team. Suhail Khan has moved to the north east from Leeds to join d3a as a Design Engineer.
JAMES IS BACK
Following a successful short placement with d3a last summer James has returned to spend his Part 1 year in industry with us. Studying Architecture at the Glasgow School of Art, James has been busy since we last saw him. Along with his studies, he organised a workshop between his University, UCL Bartlett and the Rwandan School of Architecture.

ARNIE MOVES ON - FOR NOW
Yesterday we said a fond farewell to Arnaldo Sanha, who's spent the last year working with our Architectural Team as a Part 1 Architectural Assistant. In that time Arnie's Revit skills have really taken off and he's made a huge contribution to live projects.

HEAT NETWORK OPTIMISATION STUDIES
Brad & Andrew from the d3a Energy Team have just got back from a few days in London. Apart from the obvious sightseeing they were also visiting communal energy schemes.
HEAT MAPPING
Lots of heat mapping going on at d3a this week. Scoping out the heat networks of the future. Quantifying demand and mapping pipe routes for optimal distribution and minimal heat loss.
HEAT MAPPING & MASTER PLANNING STUDIES FOR KING’S LYNN
The d3a Energy Team are now putting their talents to good use in Norfolk where they’re working on a Heat Mapping and Master Planning study for King’s Lynn & West Norfolk Council.
ENERGY TEAM ATTEND FLOURISH 23
The d3a energy team packed their buckets and spades and headed to the seaside last weekend. They were attending Flourish at Scarborough Spa, an event organised by the Yorkshire North & East Methodist District.
CHINLEY LOTTERY FUNDING
Great news for our client Chinley, Buxworth and Brownside Community Association. They have been successful with their National Lottery Bid and secured £490,000 towards their new Community Centre!

DECARBONISATION IN HEREFORD
The d3a team have carried out site surveys at a selection of public sector buildings for Herefordshire Council; ranging from children’s care centres and libraries right through to the local crematorium.
MEETING ROOM REFURB
We’re on site at Sewerby Methodist Church today as solar PV panels are being installed. The plan had been to record the whole process with a drone, but the snowy weather forecast got the better of us.
