The d3associates architectural team are great believers in communication. We work collaboratively by generating ideas that reflect the client’s aspirations; developing responsive designs which are cost effective and focused on delivering while not compromising design and construction quality.
We understand the planning and building regulations surrounding listed building work giving expert advice on the right approach for your buildings.
d3associates decarbonisation plans are bespoke and drafted to meet your particular requirements. They propose a series of measures to be adopted to reduce your carbon footprint and can be building, site or company specific. Through a building survey and energy audit, the plan will establish the current baseline position. A route map will be developed to replace reliance on fossil fuelled systems with low carbon alternatives, as well as considering ways to generate local heat and power.
If your organisation wants to ensure the services or facilities on offer are inclusive and supportive of local needs, a formal Consultation and Needs Survey is the ideal approach. It assists with the understanding of potential service gaps, highlights barriers and ensures existing offers aren’t displaced. Key stakeholders, service providers and members of the local community are consulted to evaluate their aspirations. This is done through a series of questionnaires, consultations and workshops. This data is then assessed to gain an understanding of any gaps in provision and can feed into a plan to establish key priorities.
If challenges are found early, they can be considered and help decide whether your scheme or project is viable. d3associates feasibility studies unearth these challenges by giving an initial review of issues such as planning permission, environmental impact, budget, site appraisals, restrictive covenants and contamination to name a few. An Options Appraisal will follow, highlighting and assessing the alternatives to be considered in greater detail before progressing to concept designs.
All the project’s objectives, costs and benefits will then be fed into the Business Case. This should demonstrate to your team and any stakeholders how the costs of your project are outweighed by the benefits and lead you onto the project planning phase with confidence.
