FUNDING FOR SPORT & CULTURE PROJECTS
We appreciate that funding is often the key to delivering a project, whether for feasibility studies, detailed design or capital costs. We’re also well aware that funding opportunities are constantly changing so we aim to keep ourselves up to date. Here are some funding routes you might find interesting with links so you can read up on them too.
NATIONAL LOTTERY COMMUNITY FUND
If you’re seeking funding for your project, a good place to start is the National Lottery Community Fund. It distributes over £600m a year to communities across the UK. Groups can apply for funding under £10,000, or over £10,000, depending on what they want to do.
For funding over £10,000, voluntary or community groups can apply for the National Lottery Reaching Communities Fund. This can help with the purchasing, refurbishing, or developing of land and buildings for your Project.
d3associates have nurtured several projects with community and sports groups from feasibility stage right through to design and build and these have been funded by the National Lottery. See our Community and Architectural Projects.
LEVELLING UP FUND ROUND 2
The Levelling Up Fund is designed to invest in infrastructure that improves everyday life across the UK. The £4.8 billion fund will support town centre and high street regeneration, local transport projects, and cultural and heritage assets.
SPORT ENGLAND
Each year Sport England invest more than £250 million of National Lottery and public money to help people play sport and take part in physical activity. You can use their fund chooser tool to find out which of their funding streams your project may be eligible for.
