CIF FUNDED PROJECTS

LINGFIELD EDUCATIONAL TRUST

BACKGROUND

Following the completion of the Strategic Estate Management Plan, d3associates have been working closely with the Trust to deliver the projects identified as ‘urgent’. They include roof and window replacement projects and heating system upgrades. To fund the works, d3associates were instructed to prepare and submit applications to the Condition Improvement Fund (CIF) providing all the necessary evidence for a successful bid including condition surveys, design and competitively tendered costs.

OUTCOME

Over the last three years we have successfully delivered six large scale projects: a major pitched roof refurbishment in a Victorian school building, extensive flat roof refurbishment including new windows and the replacement of an outdated heating system. The roofing works also included internal repairs and redecoration due to water damage.

d3associates managed all the projects through to completion and handover, liaising closely with the schools and Trust throughout, ensuring works were completed on time and within the budget. In addition, d3associates coordinated with the contractor to keep disturbance to school life to a minimum and also acted as Principal Designer under the CDM Regs 2015.

Work is ongoing with the Trust to identify further projects at an early stage, with the aim to be proactive rather than reactive.
