PSDS PHASE 3B ENERGY AUDIT REPORTS FOR SEVEN SCHOOLS
ROYAL BOROUGH OF LAMBETH COUNCIL
BACKGROUND
d3associates was commissioned to develop a series of Energy Audits to support the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme (PSDS) Phase 3b applications for seven school sites owned by the Royal Borough of Lambeth Council.
Phase 3b of the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme provides grants to fund heat decarbonisation and energy efficiency measures for public sector bodies. The grants are used to upgrade heating systems in public buildings so they can be cleaner, cheaper and powered by renewable energy. This amounts to £635M of funding in financial years 23/24 and 24/25.
OUTCOME
In order to prepare the detail required for the Energy Audits, the works included assessing the existing building fabric and services, using baseline data including surveys, energy consumption information, display energy certificates (DEC) and drawings, identifying suitable opportunities for energy efficiency measures and the installation of eligible decarbonisation technologies; along with quantifying the likely level of energy and carbon savings.
The Energy Audit report format and content aligned with the PSDS Report Template and was provided along with a Schedule of Works to allow initial costings to be obtained.
Following an initial review of the available information, a site visit was undertaken and further information gathered to support the Energy Audit, assist in identifying potential locations of ASHP’s, and provide additional M&E and building construction details, or highlight other site-specific constraints.
