SO WHO WAS ADA LOVELACE?
Today is Ada Lovelace Day (#ALD) - an international celebration of the achievements of women in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM). It aims to create new role models who will encourage more girls into STEM careers and support women already working in STEM.
So who was Ada Lovelace? Well, back in the 1840s she wrote the first computer programme in the world. From a modern perspective, her work is visionary and yet, at the time, it barely attracted any attention. https://findingada.com
At d3a we're keen to encourage women to study and work in the STEM arena. We've employed a number of female Architects over the years - Ezz Maya is our most recent recruit but we'd love to encourage more women to apply for roles as mechanical, electrical and environmental engineers. Get in touch if you'd like a chat about opportunities to join our expanding team.
