ST JOHN’S HALL TRUSTEES

 

BACKGROUND

The former St. John’s Hall, unfortunately burnt down in 2014. d3associates was appointed to project manage the rebuild of the Hall, in Meadowfield, and undertake the detailed design and tendering.

The building needed to be well-designed, affordable, sustainable and sympathetic to its surroundings. In addition, it also needed to be light, welcoming and accessible to all members of the community whilst providing multipurpose and adaptable space. .

OUTCOME

d3associates developed the design to meet the requirements of the local community and to be within the Trustees budget. Discussions were held and agreement reached with the local planning officer over the redesign, and site investigation undertaken to determine the ground conditions.

d3associates completed the technical design, produced working drawings and the specification, as well as preparing the tender documents that were issued to suitable local building contractors. Following the return of the tenders a report was issued to the Trustees. d3associates oversaw the construction phase, administered the contract and prepared the Health and Safety file on completion.
